What a sweet letter! Wish I'd known about your blog sooner. I can see I have some catching up to do. And I LOVE Lucy Blythe as a choice for her name. You know Elinor is named after Elinor Dashwood of S&S, right? :)

Thank you, Mary! I'm so glad you liked the letter and I appreciate the advice! I'll have to try some of that. It helps just to know I'm not the only one who's suffered from this to this extent.

I love your letter! I have also written letters to both my babies, before and after birth.

As a fellow sciatica sufferer, I feel your pain! And I recommend hamstring stretching--it's amazing how connected that is to back and hip stiffness, your hamstrings can pull you out of proper alignment and make that nerve bundle quite grumpy. Also, cat/cow might help, gentle, slow lunges might help, and both Sarah Evans and Jenn Wooten's yoga classes can offer real relief. Even temporary relief is a blessing! I also found taking walks to be somewhat helpful. Blessings to you, Mama! And enjoy this one-on-one time with Max while you can! It is precious and unique.

That was so sweet! What great strides he has made this year. I can't wait to see what happens this coming year and how he reacts to the new baby. I think he will be a wonderful big brother! I might be a bit biased, but I think you are a wonderful Mom. Love from your mom

That was beautiful, Sara. The pictures and story are lovely. I hope you have healed from the pain of the loss, or continue to if you haven't already. I know how long it takes, having lost my childhood dog in 2007 and still feeling some pain from that. But it's nice to look back and remember the wonderful memories and the great life you gave to your sweet furry companion. :)

Hi Lea: I don't even know what to tell you about my feelings about the second baby thing these days. I seem to change my mind every day, multiple times a day. (And it seems to have a lot to do with hormone fluctuations. :) ) I was feeling quite frustrated about not understanding my feelings until recently, but I think I've figured out a few things.

The fact that I keep changing my mind probably means I am not quite ready and I know my husband isn't yet. I am not quite as hot on going for it now as I was a few months ago. I think I am mostly happy to wait as of now, but we'll see how I feel as my Max gets closer to two. :) I do know that, for some reason, I am not ok with feeling like I don't want another one right now. I want to want one right now or feel like I should. And I'm not sure why. I am feeling more ok everyday with wanting to wait, though.

I am so excited that you are trying for another and I hope you have good news for us about that soon. I'll send good mojo and prayers your way.
